Four 61-by-26-metre sheets and a five-lane curling floor in Boucherville, founded in 1984.
The Centre des glaces Gilles-Chabot was founded in 1984 as a non-profit organization, independent of the municipality, that specializes in ice sports. It is the largest ice sports complex in Quebec, with close to 750,000 visits a year.
The building holds four rinks of 61 by 26 metres, with stands for up to 600 spectators, and a five-lane curling floor that runs from September to April, where it is about 10°C on the ice. The Club de patinage artistique de Boucherville teaches figure skating on its ice, and Organisation Ringuette Boucherville runs ringette here. The pro shop, Côme Gauthier Sports, is a family business that has been in Boucherville for 30 years, and the complex is open seven days a week.
