A hockey-minded ice complex whose open sessions include a hockey mass skating in kit
Arena Play Sever is a sports complex with two ice arenas of 56 by 26 metres, with spectator seats, plus a throwing zone of four lanes, two hockey running simulators and dribbling equipment. It lists a hockey and figure-skating school among its services.
Its open sessions come in two kinds: mass skating on skates for everyone, and hockey mass skating in minimal or full hockey kit with stick and puck, each priced per person and paid before going on the ice. The page describes its sessions as open training sessions of figure skating and hockey as well as mass skating, and sometimes adds an ice disco.
The arena stands on Botanicheskaya Street near Fonvizinskaya metro station. Its published weekly grid carries a warning that it may change, and the next day's sessions appear after 18:00.
