Mass skating, a hockey hour and a figure skating school on one covered sheet in New Moscow
No public skating is posted for the next 7 days. New sessions show here as soon as the rink posts them.
The Samolet MIC Arena in Sosenskoye, New Moscow, is the covered ice arena of the Matterhorn figure skating school. The ice sheet measures 30 by 60 metres and holds up to 150 people during mass skating, and the hall has modern ventilation and dehumidification, with humidity and CO2 levels monitored.
A water-treatment system lets the arena keep its ice in good condition all year. The 4,000-square-metre complex has five changing rooms with showers and toilets, a cafe, a gym of 200 square metres and a 30-square-metre ballet room. The school trains children from the age of three, in groups and one to one, with a team of professional coaches. Skate sharpening started at the arena in September.
Besides mass skating the arena holds a weekly Hockey Hour, where sticks and pucks are allowed, and evening disco sessions on the ice.
