A full-size ice arena in Novoselye on the edge of Saint Petersburg
ICE RINK is a multi-purpose sports complex in Novoselye in the Lomonosov district of the Leningrad Oblast, built around a full-size ice arena measuring 56 by 29 metres. Besides the ice it has a playing hall, a fitness and choreography hall, a goalkeepers' shooting zone and a cafe overlooking the arena.
The arena runs free skating and hockey hours on a weekly poster, some of them on part of the ice, and is home to a children's hockey school that takes players from the age of three and to a figure skating centre for children and adults. Big changing rooms with showers and saunas, and a car park of its own, make it easy to spend an evening here.
Everyone skates counter-clockwise, children and parents with children keep to the middle of the circle, and children under three are not admitted to mass skating.

Skates & rentals. Skates from size 23.5 to 48 can be hired for RUB 500 a pair for a session, against a deposit of RUB 1,000 a pair or a driving licence (up to 4 pairs).
Admission. Free skating costs RUB 600 for an hour and RUB 700 for a session of 1 hour 15 minutes or longer; a hockey hour costs RUB 700, or RUB 600 for an hour before 7 am.
Skating with children
Children under 3 are not admitted to mass skating and children under 14 only with an adult; helmets, knee, elbow and wrist protection are recommended for children and unsure adults.

Skaters move counter-clockwise, keeping speed and distance to avoid collisions, and children and parents with children skate in the middle of the circle.
