Opened in December 2022 as the only international-size rink in Suwon
Gwanggyo Complex Sports Center opened in December 2022 and runs all four seasons for elite athletes and everyday sportspeople alike. The Suwon City Sports Council, which operates it, says the centre holds the only international-size pool and ice rink in Suwon and hopes they will help residents use their leisure time and stay healthy.
The ice rink measures 30 by 60 metres, with a scoreboard and seats for 1,000 spectators; the whole centre seats 1,300.
Free skating is sold by the day for up to three hours at a time. On weekdays it runs in the afternoon and at weekends in two sessions, and the ice is resurfaced for about fifteen minutes in between. A skater can apply for a day ticket online.
