Indiana's only three-sheet rink
The PSM Icehouse opened in Fort Wayne in early 2010 with three NHL-sized ice surfaces, which still makes it the only three-sheet facility in Indiana and the largest ice complex in the state. It now carries the SportONE Parkview Icehouse name. Overtime Bar + Grill runs the full width of the building, with seating that looks down on any of the three rinks; across the street, the 57,000-square-foot PSM Fieldhouse is the complex's indoor sports sister.
The Icehouse is the official practice facility of the ECHL's Fort Wayne Komets, and it is home to the Fort Wayne Amateur Hockey Association, the Fort Wayne Ice Skating Club, the Indiana Tech hockey teams and the Fort Wayne Spacemen junior team, with RG Sports selling equipment on site.
One of the three sheets is numbered 47 rather than 1. After Braydin Lewis, a local player and the son of former Komets player Adam Lewis, died of glioblastoma in April 2023, the Icehouse renamed Rink 1 as Rink 47 in his honor. Lewis, from Angola, Indiana, had started hockey at age 3 and gone on to play junior hockey with the Metro Jets in Mount Clemens, Michigan; the Play Like Bray Foundation was established to carry his legacy, and Rink 47 stands as its tribute inside the building.
