A covered Christmas ice rink in Orchard Square at Gloucester Quays, open 19 November 2026 to 3 January 2027
Gloucester Quays Christmas Ice Rink stands in Orchard Square at The Docks in Gloucester, and its own FAQ says it is open from 19 November 2026 until 3 January 2027. It is an outdoor attraction that operates in most weather conditions, and a canopy over the rink gives extra protection from rain while keeping the atmosphere of open-air skating.
Every skating session lasts 45 minutes. The programme includes disco sessions on Thursday and Friday evenings, which the rink says it is running more of this year, Toddler Skate Sessions that give the youngest skaters a calmer, quieter introduction, and Sensory-Friendly Sessions designed for guests who benefit from a more comfortable environment.
Skates are included in the price of a session, stocked from Junior size 7 to Adult size 16, and colourful Beluga Whale skate aids help children who are learning. Off the ice there is a popular Games Hut, and the cloakroom costs two pounds for up to two items.
