Cambria County's public ice since 2004

North Central Recreation Center has been Cambria County's public ice facility since 2004. It operates as the sister site of the Cambria County War Memorial in Johnstown, and ASM Global manages the building.

The center is home ice for several local school hockey programs, a youth hockey organization and a figure skating club, and it also provides ice time to college and junior hockey programs. Its listed affiliates are the Skating Club of Johnstown, St Francis University and the Johnstown Jets. The Skating Club of Johnstown splits its skating between the War Memorial in Johnstown and North Central Recreation Center in Ebensburg.

The Johnstown Tomahawks have held the team’s main camp at North Central Recreation Center, where fans got a first look at the squad.
