A 108,000 sq ft, LEED Gold, two-pad city arena complex completed in 2008
No public skating is posted for the next 7 days. New sessions show here as soon as the rink posts them.
Activa Sportsplex was completed in 2008 for the City of Kitchener, with PBK Architects as the architect. It is a 108,000-square-foot multi-purpose athletic facility with two NHL-sized ice surfaces and spectator seating for 600.
The two arenas, the Tom Graham Arena and the Patrick J. Doherty Arena, each have a playing surface of 17,000 square feet, measuring 85 by 200 feet. One pad is also listed as the KMHA Alumni Arena. The building holds LEED Gold certification, and it was the first sports facility in Canada to receive it.
The Lyle S. Hallman Foundation indoor walking track is a place to run, jog or walk all year long. The Waterloo Regional Boxing Academy is also based in the building.
