A family-run rink in Lake Elsinore
The Ice Cave is a family-owned ice rink in Lake Elsinore, built by a family that moved from Michigan to California to grow the ice sports community. It was scheduled to open in 2026 and is now open, with sessions booked online.
Its own site describes an NHL-size rink and a Studio rink, and calls the rink a community hub for hockey, skating, tournaments, camps, special events and family entertainment. Sponsors are pitched on it as Southern California's newest ice sports destination.
The owners grew up skating on frozen lakes in Michigan, where many rinks are run by parks and recreation departments as places for neighbors to gather, and they want the same feel here. Their house rule is to leave the rink cleaner than you found it.
