Opened in 2025 to replace the Centennial Civic Centre

Cenovus Energy Hub is Lloydminster's events centre and the replacement for the Centennial Civic Centre. User groups moved in on September 6, 2025, ahead of the official grand opening on October 1, which marked the end of a 25-month construction project. It is the largest sports, recreation and entertainment venue in the region.

The building has a 2,500-seat event arena that expands to 4,500 for concerts, a 500-seat community arena and an outdoor ice surface that becomes a basketball court in summer. The community sheet is the Co-op Community Arena, named in a 10-year partnership with the Lloydminster & District Co-op. Accessibility was planned in, from barrier-free washrooms on every floor to sledge hockey boards and flexible dressing rooms.

The Hub is home to the Junior A Bobcats, the Junior B Bandits and the Lakeland College Rustlers, and Lloydminster Minor Hockey and the Lloydminster Skating Club were among its first users. In January 2027 it hosts the SaskTel Tankard and Bunge Prairie Pinnacle provincial curling championships.
