Inver Grove Heights' two-sheet community arena

The ice arenas are part of Inver Grove Heights' Veterans Memorial Community Center, designed by KOMA with a partner architecture firm. Alongside two sheets of ice, the building houses the Grove Aquatic center, a fitness center, community rooms, concessions and offices.

The arena is home rink for the Simley High School Spartans boys hockey team. The Spartans have made several section final appearances, most recently in 2017–18, and reached the state tournament in 1996 and 2003.

Junior hockey has passed through as well: the team then known as the St. Paul Lakers spent a season at Highland Arena before relocating to the community center, and in 2009 it became the Edina Lakers when it moved to Minnesota Made Ice Center. Today the city runs open skating for all ages, open hockey for players 16 and older, developmental ice and stick and puck on the two sheets.
