Riverside's two-sheet rink since 1997

Icetown Riverside opened in 1997 and has trained figure skaters and hockey players from the Inland Empire ever since. Coach Tammy Gambill started teaching here the year the rink opened, and Richard Dornbush trained under her at this rink from 1997 onward.

The building holds two ice surfaces, a gym and a ballet and Pilates room, and the figure skating side runs as the Icetown Riverside International Training Center. Skaters come from all over the world to train here, among them figure skaters ranked at the national, international, world and Olympic level. Hockey plays under the LA Kings name: the rink is LA Kings Icetown, part of the Kings' Local Rink Alliance, and the Jr Reign youth club lists Riverside as one of its locations. LA Kings Sled Hockey, a USA Hockey-recognized program for physically disabled youth and adults, is also offered here.

In 2022 general manager Matt Dunaev put the rink's run at more than 25 years and said many hockey and figure skaters had started in its Learn to Play and Learn to Skate programs. The name has also reached television: Parks and Recreation writer Alan Yang has said on his podcast that the show's Ice Town running gag was taken from this rink.
