A seasonally boarded outdoor rink beside the Larkin House Community Building in Old Barrhaven
For the latest skating dates, check the rink’s official information.
Larkin Park's outdoor rink is in Old Barrhaven, the westernmost part of the Barrhaven neighbourhood, lying between Cedarview Road and Greenbank Road. Before amalgamation with Ottawa in 2001, Barrhaven was part of the City of Nepean, which had been incorporated as a city in 1978. Today the rink is one of the City of Ottawa's listed outdoor rink locations.
The city's parks inventory records the ice simply as a "rink", with boards classed as seasonal rather than permanent and lights that are permanent. The rink's facility is a community building: the Larkin House Community Building on Larkin Drive. The city's park-buildings layer lists a second building at the same Larkin Drive location, the Barrhaven Tennis Clubhouse, so the tennis clubhouse and the community building stand together beside the winter ice.
