Rockledge's Olympic-size sheet
Space Coast Iceplex in Rockledge skates on an Olympic-size ice surface, with grandstand seating along the rink and a fitness center and dance studio off the ice. It is the rink that serves Brevard County's residents and visitors with hockey and figure skating events.
Hockey here runs from high school to junior. The Brevard Rockets high school team belongs to the Brevard Amateur Ice Hockey Association and plays each spring in the Central Florida High School Hockey League. In the 2000s the Iceplex was also the home of the Space Coast Hurricanes, a junior team in the EJHL South; the Hurricanes won the 2006–07 league title and that season's Junior C national championship.
Figure skating has its own development program, the SCI Axel Club, built to push skaters to the next level, and the rink counts Intermediate Men's National Champion TJ Nyman among its own. Sessions run to music picked for a family atmosphere under the building's own slogan, "The Coolest Place in Florida."
