Built in 1995 from a former Jones Truck Lines terminal, home ice of the University of Arkansas hockey clubs.
Jones Center opened in downtown Springdale in 1995, built from the original Jones Truck Lines terminal after it closed. Bernice Jones founded it as a nonprofit; Harvey Jones, who started the trucking company, had died in 1989, and six years later she gave the "Legacy Gift" that created the center.
The 220,000-square-foot building holds Northwest Arkansas' only indoor ice arena, alongside a fitness center, indoor pools, a gymnasium with an indoor track and a conference center. About 600,000 people visit each year.
The University of Arkansas men's hockey club plays all of its home games on the ice here, and 2026-27 is its 20th season of competition. The building is also home to the NWA Hockey Association, the Ozark Figure Skating Club and an adult hockey league for new players.
