Caledon East's complex, expanded and reopened in September 2023

The Caledon East Community Complex reopened on September 5, 2023, just under two years after the town broke ground on a 52,000-square-foot expansion. The town held a grand opening celebration on Saturday, September 16, 2023, including the official opening of the Caledon East branch of the Caledon Public Library. The complex is nearly 146,000 square feet and is Caledon's largest recreation centre.

The expansion added a swimming pool, a fitness centre and studio, a library with a maker space, an indoor walking track overlooking a full-size gymnasium, multi-purpose and meeting spaces, and a dedicated section for an enhanced Sports Hall of Fame.

The building keeps its two upgraded ice rinks, now visible from the main corridor, with second-floor seating that everyone can reach. There is a pro shop for skate sharpening, and in winter an outdoor rink and pavilion are available behind the complex.
