Two NHL rinks inside a former Macy's

WeStreet Ice Center opened in March 2024 inside the former Macy's department store at Tulsa Promenade in Midtown Tulsa. Tulsa Oilers owner Andy Scurto cut the ribbon at a ceremony on March 7, 2024, and the doors opened to the public that Saturday. It was built as an addition rather than a replacement: the Oilers Ice Center on South Mingo kept running, bringing Tulsa to three ice rinks for public skating and hockey leagues.

The conversion turned 140,000 square feet of retail space into two NHL-regulation hockey rinks, with new trusses installed inside the existing structure. The Tulsa Oilers use it as their official practice facility, it is the home arena for Oklahoma State University's collegiate hockey team, and the Tulsa Jr. Oilers Junior A program is based here. The Tulsa Figure Skating Club, founded in 1938 and the fourth-oldest club of its kind in Oklahoma, calls the building home, and the Tulsa Curling Club, formed in 2012, curls here as well.

Fans filled the stands for the Tulsa Oilers' NA3HL opening weekend, and the World Axe & Knife Throwing Championships were held in the building. School groups also come through on field trips that pair a history-of-sports session with a live hockey practice and Zamboni viewing.
