A 50 by 20 metre rink that runs all year and is home to the region's ice hockey and figure skating clubs
Loading public skate, freestyle, and stick & puck times for Daytona Adventure Park…
Daytona Adventure Park in Upper Hutt bills its rink as Wellington's only all-year-round permanent indoor ice-skating rink. The sheet measures 50 by 20 metres, is groomed with a Zamboni, and hands out skates from the leading ROXA brand.
The rink hosts the Wellington Ice Hockey Association and the Wellington Figure Skating Club through the weekend. The hockey association calls itself a close-knit, community-driven club that welcomes players of all ages, abilities and genders, and the figure skating club is the only ice figure skating club in the lower North Island, with beginner and elementary classes.
Casual skaters share the building with go-karts, paintball and bowling, and a combo ticket pairs the ice with the trampoline park. The rink also holds disco nights on Friday and Saturday evenings.
