Two NHL-size rinks opened in 2015 at Garden City Community Centre, home of the MMJHL Raiders
Seven Oaks Arena opened in 2015 on the grounds of the Garden City Community Centre, built under a cost-sharing agreement between the City of Winnipeg, the provincial government and the community centre. When it opened, the city closed the obsolete Old Exhibition and Vimy arenas.
The building covers about 9,500 square metres and holds two NHL-size rinks, each with seating for 350, along with a raised spectator concourse and an atrium whose mural between the two rinks shows community history, people and achievements. A link connects it to the existing Seven Oaks Sports Plex and community centre, and the building reuses heat for ventilation and warms the changing rooms and spectator seating with in-floor heating.
Local minor hockey teams and private clinics fill most of the ice, and the arena is home to the Raiders Junior Hockey Club of the Manitoba Major Junior Hockey League. It hosted the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's annual showcase in 2018 and 2019.
