A Massachusetts DCR public rink operated by FMC Ice Sports since 1995, home to three youth hockey programs
Navin Arena is a Commonwealth of Massachusetts public ice skating facility, one of the state rinks overseen by the Department of Conservation and Recreation. FMC Ice Sports, the Facility Management Corporation, has operated the arena for DCR since 1995, a public-private partnership set up to keep the rink open for public recreation.
Youth hockey is the core of the schedule. Demons Youth Hockey, SMS Youth Hockey and Triboro Youth Hockey all call Navin Arena home, and StinkySocks Hockey is based here as well. Around those programs FMC runs public skating, Learn to Skate, figure skating and club ice.
The arena is a cold building with one warm spot: a heated conference room, alongside a snack bar. FMC also keeps adaptive skating equipment, ice sleds and walkers, in many of its rinks, and recommends contacting the rink beforehand about the best sessions for adaptive skating.
