Auburn's two-sheet city arena, open since 2013 and the only dual-surface ice arena in Maine
For the latest skating dates, check the rink’s official information.
Norway Savings Bank Arena opened in the fall of 2013 and has been fully operational since February 2014. Developer George Schott built it to the City of Auburn's specifications and rents it to the city, which runs it as part of an enterprise fund meant to pay its own way through advertising and ice-rental revenue.
It is the only dual-surface ice arena in Maine, a multi-purpose building that specializes in ice hockey, with seating for 810 at the first rink and 450 at the second, 10 locker rooms and a mezzanine. Maine high school hockey teams play home games here, and the Maine Nordiques of the North American Hockey League played their 2025–26 season in the building after announcing the move that August. The arena also hosts events off the ice: on April 20, 2024, Grand Canyon beat undefeated Lindenwood 2–1 in triple overtime here to win the National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association's Division I championship.
