The Odbojárov ice dates from 1940; the hall was roofed in 1958 and rebuilt for the 2011 world championships
No public skating is posted for the next 7 days. New sessions show here as soon as the rink posts them.
The first public ice surface on the Odbojárov site opened on 14 December 1940, on the spot where TIPOS Aréna stands today. It was roofed in 1958 for the European figure skating championships, and between 1990 and 1992 the interior was changed and a new steel roof built, because Bratislava was to host the 1992 world ice hockey championships.
A rebuild that began on 23 April 2009 for the 2011 world championships demolished about 80 percent of the old stadium and added a second training hall, raising the capacity to 10,055. While it was under way HC Slovan Bratislava played its home games at Zimný štadión Vladimíra Dzurillu in Ružinov.
The city's operator describes it as the oldest hockey hall in Slovakia. The main hall measures 28 by 60 m, training hall A 26 by 56 m and hall B 28 by 58 m. HC Slovan met the Tampa Bay Lightning here in 2008 and the New York Rangers in 2011 in pre-season games against NHL clubs.
