The town's own rink on Gröbenrieder Straße
The Städtische Kunsteisbahn Dachau is the town's own ice rink on Gröbenrieder Straße. The city describes it as a meeting place for ice-lovers from the town and the surrounding district, with excellent ice quality and music playing over the ice.
The surface measures about 1,800 square metres, 60 by 30 metres. Qualified ice masters look after it and renew it several times a day. Because the resurfacing can only happen outside operating hours, one stretch of skating lasts at most two and a half hours.
Skates can be hired in sizes 26 to 47 against a valuable left as a deposit. The changing room has lockable lockers, and the city accepts no liability for stored items. A warm-up room can be opened on request for birthday parties and similar events, and children under 14 may join the evening public session only with a guardian or an authorised adult.
