Daegu's only international-size rink, open all year since 1995

Daegu Indoor Ice Rink opened in 1995 and has run all year round without a closing season since. It describes itself as the only rink in Daegu of international competition size, a sheet 61 metres long and 30 metres wide, and it also serves as a training ground for the athletes who represent the city.

Short track, figure skating and ice hockey are all played here, and the trees around the building have made it a quiet place to rest in the middle of the city. A spectator area on the second floor looks over the ice, the hall can hold 800 people, and a hire room with 1,300 pairs of skates and 140 lockers serve the skaters.

Public skating shares the week with athlete training, which takes the early morning and the evening hours.
