A village ice club in Herwijnen with a 333 m inline track and a modern clubhouse

IJsclub d'n Ouwe Wiel is based at a lovely location in Herwijnen. It has a nice modern clubhouse, and on the grounds lies an inline skating track of 333 metres with a grass field in the middle, which people already use in the summer months to skate on wheels.

When the temperatures fall, the club puts the track under water so that it can be used for skating: its news announces that the track is under water, and its photo album preserves the ice fun of 27 December 2025. In the club's 60th year, the youngsters could ride a bus for free to skate at the Vechtsebanen in Utrecht.
