Zimní stadion Kadaň: artificial ice since 1970, home of the Trhači and their predecessors
For the latest skating dates, check the rink’s official information.
The winter stadium in Kadaň opened on 1 January 1970 with an artificial ice surface, which, in the club's own words, put Kadaň ahead of all the other clubs of the time that still played on natural rinks. Four days later the district class I A competition began.
In 1971 the stadium housed two teams, Slovan Kadaň and DNT Tušimice, until they merged into TJ DNT Kadaň. The merged side began 1971-72 already in the regional league and fought its way up to the ice hockey division, finishing its first half-season there in a pleasing third place.
One home match drew a huge crowd of 1,700 spectators, but the team lost the promotion play-off to Most and did not reach the second league.
