An international-standard 400 m oval, ice from mid-November to mid-February
Currently out of season The park's page gives the winter ice season as mid-November to mid-February and says the summer roller season ended on 4 October; its November sheet reads 冬季営業準備中 (winter operation in preparation). No opening date is posted yet. Official schedule update
The outdoor rink of Karuizawa Kazakoshi Park is built around a 400 metre oval track, 13 metres wide, described as internationally certified. In the warm season the track is a roller-skate rink and the space inside the oval holds two futsal courts; in winter the same oval is frozen and recognised as a domestic ice-skating rink.
Floodlights on eight towers and a record-keeping building serve the oval. The rink asks skaters not to do loops, spins or jumps, because they leave deep scratches in the ice, and it rents skates for skaters of all ages in both seasons.
The rink's page puts the winter season at mid-November to mid-February without exact dates. Its November sheet reads that winter operation is in preparation, so no opening date is posted yet.
