Home of Kristianstads IK since 1969, rebuilt in 2006-07 to hold 2,300 spectators, 1,200 of them seated
Kristianstads ishall was newly completed in 1969, when Kristianstads IK moved into it from an outdoor rink. The club was founded in July 1966, after the hockey team of Åsums BK was dissolved for lack of funds.
In 2006-07 the hall was largely rebuilt. In April 2007 almost the whole old hall had been torn out, leaving only the rink itself and the old roof. The hall was extended by 1,500 square metres with new changing rooms, a cafeteria and a press room, and the stand was reshaped with seats along both long sides and standing room on one short side. Capacity grew from 1,500 to 2,300 people, and seats from 425 to 1,200.
Plexiglas replaced the net around the rink, and a press room at the top was prepared for television broadcasts. The project manager said the aim was an arena for Allsvenskan hockey, and the building work had to be coordinated with hockey, school and public skating.

There is no helmet requirement at public skating (skating is at your own risk); on "puck och klubba" dates everyone may skate with or without puck and stick.
