A privately owned two-arena hall completed in 2019 beside Lippumäki's former cave rink, run by Tuplajäät
The Lippumäki hall in Kuopio was completed in 2019 and belongs to Tuplajäät Oy, which owns and runs two twin-rink halls, this one and one in Toivala that dates from 2000. It stands where Lippumäki's earlier ice hall, a rink in a rock cave with a 25 by 56 metre surface, a stand for 200 and four dressing rooms, had been. That cave hall was rebuilt as indoor sports space and reopened at the start of 2021.
The new hall has two arenas, each 28 by 58 metres, with loft stands along the sides and at the ends that can double as running and warm-up space. It has eight dressing rooms for hockey and 24 rented drying rooms for equipment.
The ice is shared by ice hockey, figure skating, rink ball and curling by reservation.
