Two rinks run by a goalkeeper's company
JL aréna s.r.o. was founded in 2012 and carries the name of the national-team goalkeeper Ján Laco, who is also a co-owner. Its training hall, with four changing rooms and support spaces, was built in 2014; the ice measures 56 by 26 metres and the hall runs all year round.
The company also operates the city winter stadium of Liptovský Mikuláš under a 15-year agreement with the town. That stadium was extensively rebuilt between 2018 and 2020 and has a 59 by 29 metre ice sheet.
Accommodation is available in the area of the two winter stadiums: the TIMEOUT City Hotel, rebuilt inside and out in 2019, has 14 rooms (two apartments, two studios and ten double rooms) for 36 guests in total. The arena also lists regular tournaments and training sessions by Slovakia Lions among its activities.
