A mountain-village rink given new life by a Milan hockey club
ICEGate 23024 was born from the will of HC Milano Devils, a historic Milan hockey club, to give new life to the sports centre of Madesimo. The aim, in the project's own words, was to turn an existing space into a dynamic project that is useful to the mountain community.
The centre brings three activities under one roof: ICEArena, the ice rink, which the centre calls its sporting heart, with free skating, lessons, hockey and events for all ages; ICELounge, the bar; and ICEWell, the wellness area with spa, massages, a gym, squash and courses.
The rink is described as new and efficient, well suited to following skating events as well as to skating with friends during the hours set aside for public skating. The operator calls the whole centre more than a sports centre: an ecosystem that joins sport, wellbeing and social life.
