Ice hall opened in 1970, known as Stålhallen and home to Olofströms IK and a hockey high school
Olofström's ice hall was inaugurated in 1970 and cost two million kronor to build. Gösta Rörstrand has said it must have been the first ice hall built without there even being a hockey team in the town.
Known as Stålhallen, it is the home hall of Olofströms IK, nicknamed the Steelers in a nod to the importance of steel for the town. Its attendance record is 2,500, set on 18 February 2009 against Karlskrona HK. The town's hockey high school takes in students who did not get into a school with an elite programme.
In autumn 2024 rusted pipes in the machine room caused water leaks, and for two months OIK and Jämshög Saints trained and played their home games on other towns' ice. The municipality then set aside twelve million kronor over two years to plan the hall's future.
