The Poruba winter stadium, base of HC RT Torax Poruba, with a multi-purpose hall for sport and culture
Currently out of season SAREZA's page for public skating at the Zimák Poruba says "Bruslení pro veřejnost UKONČENO, bruslit budeme opět od podzimu 2026" (public skating has ended; skating will resume in autumn 2026) and prints no date or timetable. Checked on 4 October 2026. Official schedule update
The winter stadium in Ostrava-Poruba, known as RT Torax Arena, contains a multi-purpose hall whose stands hold up to 5,000 spectators and which stages cultural as well as sports events. It is the home base of the hockey team HC RT Torax Poruba.
Two ice surfaces are available in the complex: LP1 measures 60 by 28 metres and LP2 58 by 28 metres. The stadium has changing rooms for hockey teams and figure skaters, and the municipality describes the whole complex as modern.
Public skating here is, in the operator's words, a long-standing pastime used by parents with children, teenagers and seniors. SAREZA runs it in formats such as Mega skating on both halls at once, Maxi skating on hall 1 and discos on ice on hall 2, and holds learn-to-skate days for the youngest and for adults.
