The Sporting Club Panda is a sports club in Rome that is more than 50 years old and was founded as a tennis club. Its most important work, built in the summer of 2020, is an Olympic-size ice rink inside a tensile structure. CONI approved the rink in April 2021, the same month the club's skating society joined the FISG.
The ice measures 58.5 by 29 metres, a regulation size for skating competitions, and the club says it is the only Olympic-size ice rink in Rome. The skating society has more than 300 members and teaches basic artistic skating, adult courses and pre-competitive and competitive groups.
A synchronised skating team also trains on the ice, which the club presents as the reference point for Romans who skate competitively.
