The Eishalle Rosental is the only ice hall in the Voitsberg district. Governor Franz Voves opened it in 2004, and former mayor Franz Schriebl was its initiator. Former mayor Engelbert Köppel serves as ice master and chairs the ESV Rosental.
The hall stayed closed for three years because of Covid and the energy crisis, and reopened on 2 November 2023. It came back with completely new LED lighting, and an 80 kilowatt-peak photovoltaic system was to go on the hall roof.
In November 2024 the hall celebrated its 20th anniversary with an ice stock shooting event, where Voves took part as a surprise guest. The paper described a hall that enjoys great public interest, and ice stock shooters use it as well as skaters.
