The Clientis Arena in Saint-Imier, a rink on the Suze with artificial ice since 1960

The Clientis Arena in Saint-Imier, at Beauregard 2 on the banks of the Suze, began as the Patinoire d'Erguël. HC Saint-Imier, founded in 1936, first skated on natural ice in front of the old gymnastics halls before moving to the Beauregard site, and the cooperative that built the artificial rink was entered in the commercial register on 2 October 1959.

The artificial rink was inaugurated on Saturday 12 November 1960, and the club played its first match on it the next day, a 4-1 Swiss Cup defeat to Yverdon. A limited company, Erguël-Sports SA, was entered in the commercial register on 12 December 2016, and its first board was made up of the mayors of the ten communes. The season ended on 18 March 2018, work began the next Monday and the rink was renamed the Clientis Arena.

Today the hall takes 750 spectators for sport and 1,950 for shows, with six changing rooms with showers and one without for public skating.
