An ice tent over an outdoor rink, finished in 2019 after Zinkensdamm closed
Kärrtorps ishall began as an outdoor rink. When Zinkensdamms Ishall was ordered closed in October 2018 for safety reasons, Stockholm decided to cover the Kärrtorp rink. The idea came from the clubs themselves as a quick fix for the acute shortage of ice time, and the hall was meant to resemble the Danica hall at Östermalms IP. The ice tent was finished at the end of 2019.
Hammarby Hockey's first team has played its matches here since autumn 2022, and the club also runs youth teams. It later got a modular building for changing and storage, and has proposed building changing rooms and stands on the side facing the woods. Matches, training and skating discos are held in the tent.
The tent stands on a temporary building permit that cannot be extended beyond 2029. In autumn 2026 architects are redrawing its design, with the aim of a building that can get a permanent permit.

The City of Stockholm explains that 'delad is' (shared ice) means one part of the ice is for skating and playing with sticks and another part is for skating without sticks.
