Tyresö's new ice hall, inaugurated on 22 August 2026

Tyresö ishall was inaugurated on Saturday, 22 August 2026, as ice hall number 394 to open in Sweden. The opening day had try-skating, a figure skating show and a practice match between Tyresö/Hanviken and Almtuna IS.

Building began in 2019, after the detailed plans were approved in 2015, and the hall was first planned to be ready in 2021. The covid-19 pandemic, problems with the foundation and safety shortcomings in the construction delayed the work, which resumed in 2024. In 2014 the municipality had planned to replace the old hall with housing and to build the new one just north of it, where a football pitch had been.

The hall is classed as a federation hall and serves as the home ground for Tyresö/Hanviken in Hockeyettan. It has plenty of dressing rooms and was built for both ice hockey and figure skating.
