The ice rink of the Palladium in Champéry has been one of the five global centres of excellence of the International Skating Union since 2020, through the Stéphane Lambiel Skating School of Switzerland. Lambiel has set up his training centre for the world's elite figure skaters here. The rink is fully covered and equipped for high-level training.
With 800 seats it hosts international competitions and events: the Christmas ice show, the Curling Masters, the European Curling Championships and, in 2005, the European Youth Olympic Festival. In 2020 it held the curling competitions of the Youth Olympic Games, and in October 2017 the World Mixed Curling Championship.
It is open to the public and to clubs, from first steps on the ice to artistic spins and hockey. Hockey Club Portes du Soleil and an ice skating school are based there, and a patch is a 50-minute slot of ice reserved for figure skating.
