Opened 22 July 2019 with two ice rinks and a residential block for 108 young players
Ice Arena Avto opened on 22 July 2019 in the Solnechny district of Yekaterinburg. The project was made possible by a grant from the Russian Ministry of Sport, won by the Avto team at the final of a Night Hockey League festival in May 2016, together with funds from the regional budget.
The building has a total area of 13,000 square metres and two ice rinks, measuring 58 by 28 metres and 61 by 26 metres. It has a residential block of 54 double rooms for 108 young hockey players from other cities of the Sverdlovsk region and of Russia. It also has a medical block of five rooms and a canteen for 100 people.
The arena is run by the Spartakovets hockey school, which set up its first hockey section in September 1957 and has now passed its 65th year. The school has two sports facilities in its operational management.
