A covered rink where hockey and figure-skating training share the ice with weekend mass skating
The Iceberg rink sits inside the Luna entertainment centre on the Siberian Highway in Yekaterinburg, a leisure complex that says it has operated in the city since 2000. The centre describes its covered rink as taking the place of the favourite rink of Yekaterinburg residents.
The ice field covers 945 square metres, which leaves room for mass skating as well as training for young figure skaters. Visitors who have no skates can hire them, and the rink adds a free skating helper and a free set of protective gear and helmet. Skate covers are required off the ice and are handed out free at the box office.
The same rink hosts corporate events and birthday parties on the ice, and the centre is open every day from 10:00 to 23:00.
