Virginia, Minnesota's two-rink event center, opened in 2021 to replace the 1958 Miners Memorial Building.
For more than six decades, hockey in Virginia, Minnesota, was played at the Miners Memorial Building, built in 1958. The Virginia Blue Devils used it through the 2020–21 season, and it was demolished in 2021 after its last high school game.
Its replacement, completed in September 2021, was first to be called the Miners Event Convention Center. That summer, Iron Trail Motors, a local car dealership, bought the naming rights for 20 years at a cost of 1.1 million dollars. The two-story, 120,000-square-foot building has two 85-by-200-foot rinks, fitness facilities and a 6,400-square-foot ballroom, and its main Toyota Arena seats up to 2,000 beneath a large center-hung scoreboard.
It is home rink for the Rock Ridge Wolverines, with youth hockey run by the Rock Ridge Youth Hockey Association. In October 2025 it hosted the Pan Continental Curling Championships A-Division, and its public programs include ice bumper cars.
