Built in 2004 as the Capital News Centre, renamed MNP Place in 2024

MNP Place is the indoor sports complex in Kelowna's Mission area, built in 2004 as a training ground for Okanagan athletes of all levels. Over the two decades since, it has been a tournament host and a community gathering spot as well as a practice base for local sport.

The building holds two NHL-size ice surfaces and a seasonal leisure ice sheet, and the same roof covers two full-size indoor turf fields, so the complex serves minor and adult sports well beyond skating. The clubs and leagues that have made the building home include the Okanagan Rockets AAA Midget Hockey Club, the PAHL Adult Hockey League and the Kelowna Figure Skating Club.

For its first twenty years the complex was the Capital News Centre. On January 1, 2024, it took the MNP Place name it carries today; the two NHL sheets, the leisure ice and the turf fields are what a visitor still finds inside.
