Opened in 2014 on a 30 m by 60 m sheet that the Malaysia Book of Records certifies as the country's biggest
Icescape opened in 2014 as the first Olympic-sized ice skating rink in Malaysia, on the first floor of the IOI City complex in IOI Resort City, Putrajaya. The sheet measures 30 metres by 60 metres, and the Malaysia Book of Records certifies it as the biggest ice skating rink in the country.
The ice does more than public sessions. The operator lists an ice skating academy with beginner, intermediate and advanced lessons, and describes the rink as a stage for performances, competitions, speed skating and ice hockey events.
The rink's own event pages record some of what has happened on the ice: an indoor snow day in December 2022, a Christmas event for the academy's students that month, a school-holiday programme in May 2023 and Halloween activities in October 2023.
