Home of the GOHL's Komoka Kings
The Komoka Wellness & Recreation Centre opened in 2011 with two NHL-size ice rinks and nine change rooms. The building also holds a fitness centre with an indoor walking track and a large gymnasium, both operated by the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario, along with a County of Middlesex library and several multi-purpose rooms. It is Green Globes certified for green building design and holds Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification.
The Komoka Kings of the Greater Ontario Hockey League's Western division have played here since the summer of 2017, when the Lambton Shores Predators relocated and took the Kings name. The franchise traces back to the Petrolia Jets, who joined the Border Cities Junior B league in 1968 and moved to Forest, Ontario in 2008, where they became the Predators to match the local minor hockey system. The Kings' first regular-season home game in Komoka ended in a 3–3 double-overtime tie with the Sarnia Legionnaires.
