Two full-sized rinks in Monsey since 1974
Sport-O-Rama opened in 1974 in Monsey, New York, a 33,000-square-foot building that houses two full-sized ice rinks. Black Bear Sports Group, Inc. operates the facility today.
The Ramapo Saints Youth Hockey Association is the rink's home youth program. The association started in 1975, a year after the building opened, and has now marked its 50th anniversary. Figure skater Tamar Katz trained at Sport-O-Rama during the 2009–10 season, coached by a team that included Mary-Lynn Gelderman and Galit Chait.
Synchronized skating at Sport-O-Rama runs through Skyliners Synchronized Skating Team, established in 2001 by a group of parents who wanted a new competitive synchronized skating club in the tri-state area. In its first nineteen seasons Skyliners won 16 National Championships and 33 Eastern Championships.
