An NHL-size county arena that opened in November 1988 on the Eble family's former dairy farm.
Eble Park Ice Arena opened in November 1988 on land with a long family history. Mary Eble bought farmland along Bluemound Road in 1879, and her son Emery and his wife ran a dairy farm there and raised twelve children. The last surviving sibling, Florence Eble, donated the remaining 33 acres to Waukesha County in 1988, and at the county's suggestion the land became a public park and ice arena.
The 35,400-square-foot arena has a single NHL-size sheet, 85 by 200 feet, with seating for up to 1,200 and four team changing rooms. Marquette University High School's Hilltoppers use it as their home rink, an adult league run by Underhill Hockey Group is based here, and the Wisconsin Edge synchronized skating teams train here and at Naga-Waukee Park Ice Arena.
