Centennial Sports Arena was built in 1991 and officially opened on January 1, 1992, and Centennial played its first hockey game there on January 25. It was the first Olympic-size ice surface in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
An $8.5 million renovation in 2019 converted the rink to a traditional North American size and added a new refrigeration system, and the arena reopened on January 4, 2020. It has six team rooms plus boys' and girls' varsity rooms, seating for 1,200, a full-service pro shop with skate sharpening and a meeting room.
The ice serves Centennial boys' and girls' high school hockey, Centennial Youth Hockey and Blaine Youth Hockey, along with rentals to the public. From March to May the surface turns to turf for soccer, lacrosse, baseball and softball.
