UPEI's two-pad MacLauchlan Arena, opened in 2003 and home ice of the Panthers hockey teams.
The MacLauchlan Arena officially opened in 2003 on the University of Prince Edward Island campus, next to the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre, and is named for Island businessman Harry MacLauchlan. It was built together with the Bell Aliant Centre aquatics facility to serve residents of Charlottetown, Stratford and the surrounding area as well as the university's own population, and both are open to the public.
The arena has two NHL-size ice surfaces, alongside the Bell Aliant Centre's eight-lane competition pool. It is home ice for the UPEI Panthers men's and women's hockey teams; the men's team plays in U Sports as a member of the Atlantic University Sport conference.
The MacLauchlan Arena was a hockey venue at the 2023 Canada Winter Games. From October 1 to 6, 2024, the Bell Aliant Centre hosted the HearingLife Tour Challenge, the first Grand Slam of Curling event of the 2024–25 season.
